Elizabeth’s kind gesture
By Tracey Bryce

THE sick children’s appeal has scrubbed up well, thanks to the kind heart of reader Elizabeth
Wallace.
The 61-year-old cleaning supervisor at Albert Primary School in Springburn, Glasgow, sent us a generous £200 donation — an amalgamation of the cash gifts she received from friends and family.
Elizabeth, a mum-of-three and grandmother-of-seven, from Glasgow, said, “The money is just presents I had received on various occasions, including my birthday, Christmas and Mother’s Day.
“I hadn’t spent it yet, so I thought donating the
cash to the appeal would be a nice gesture and, to be honest, I would have only spent it on a lot of
nonsense anyway!” |
